Maintenance Mode FAQ¶
- What is Maintenance Mode?
Maintenance Mode means that while Deadline 10 will continue to be supported and maintained, we’re focusing our development efforts on security updates and critical fixes rather than new features. Your existing Deadline 10 setup will continue to work exactly as it does today.
- Will my current render farm continue to work as usual?
Yes. Your existing Deadline 10 implementation, including all your current workflows, scripts, and configurations, will continue to function exactly as they do today. There’s no immediate action required from you.
- I use Deadline 10 and other features like AWS Portal, Spot Event Plugin, and RFDK (Render Farm Deployment Kit), with they continue to work?
Yes. You can continue to use all current features, including AWS Portal, Spot Event Plugin, and RFDK.
- Can I still download Deadline 10?
Yes. AWS Thinkbox Deadline 10 remains available to download from the Thinkbox products page (requires sign in to AWS console).
- Can I still add more render nodes or licenses to my farm?
Yes. You can continue to use Deadline 10 as they do today, including adding render nodes, including using AWS Portal or Spot Event Plugin.
- Will I still have access to usage-based licensing (UBL) for Deadline 10?
Yes. UBL remains available for Deadline 10 customers and is accessed through Deadline Cloud UBL. You can find the setup instructions here.
- How can I learn more or get help?
We’re here to support you. You can email our team with questions or to schedule a discussion at support@awsthinkbox.zendesk.com, reach out through the AWS Premium Support portal, or access Deadline 10’s comprehensive documentation here.
